A lot of players spend the time at a table doing poker chip tricks so that they can kill the time and boredom in between hands and also to impress and intimidate any new players. A popular saying among poker players is, “Stay away from people doing chip tricks, they have spent lots of time at poker tables.”
The thing about poker is that it attracts people that have big egos who are trying to look cool no matter what. And among the best ways for you to appear cool at poker tables is by showing that you can easily handle your chips well. Here is a couple of poker chip tricks which anyone can easily learn with very little effort.
1. The pullover -
This trick is similar to the shuffle. You first need to stack 6-8 chips together and put your hand around it. Then, your pointer finger & thumb should be on one side and the remaining fingers at the other end. Now, take one stack and set it aside, then you have to flip the remaining half of the stack to the top smooth and easy. This is sure to impress friends.
2. The finger flip -
This is an easy and simple trick which is very impressive too. You, really, just flick one poker chip on top of a pile of your chips. The most effective way to begin is with stacks of three chips. How to do this? Take 3 chip stacks in our hand. Put your forefinger & thumb in the middle of the chip and keep the remainder of your fingers on the side. Now glide the back two chips towards the bottom while using your thumb for support and to ensure that they do not fall. As soon as they slip to the bottom, make the front most chip jump towards the end using your forefinger. Remember that this trick takes some time to learn and you should perfect it before trying to show it off at the table.
The beauty of both these poker chip tricks is that they are simple and repetitive. Thus, you could sit at a table and fiddle with chips for as long as you want.
